Tuesday & Wednesday saw the return of the UEFA Champions League much to the delight of football fans worldwide. In Champions League game week 1 there were some big Champions League Results & one of the big Champions League matches saw current champions Barcelona take on Italian giants AC Milan at the Nou Camp.

The game saw one of the most surprising Champions League Results with AC Milan getting a 2-2 draw against Barcelona. The game couldn’t have started better for AC Milan when Pato showed his pace and scored in the opening 30 seconds of the game, however Milan couldn’t capitalise on their early advantage. Barcelona scored in the 36 minute after a wonderful run from Messi set up Pedro in the 36 minute and just after half time Villa would score a wonderful free kick to give Barcelona the lead. Barcalona would hold that lead until 2 minutes into injury time when Thiago Silva headed in a Seedorf free kick. That ended the game at 2-2 which many would not have predicted before kick off.

Champions League Results – English Premier League Clubs

English teams in the Champions League didn’t have the best of starts with 3 draws and just 1 win from their opening Champions League matches. The only win came for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge with their 2 nil win over German Side Bayern Leverkusen. Torres set up both David Luiz & Juan Mata in the second half to see off their German opponents.

Arsenal were denied a victory against Bundesliga Champions Borussia Dortmund when Perisic cancelled out Robin Van Persie’s first half strike to leave the game tied at 1-1 at the final whistle. 1-1 was familiar Champions League result as both Manchester clubs would achieve that scoreline with City achieving a 1-1 draw against Napoli at the Etihad Stadium. United had to thank the Champions Leagues oldest goal scorer Ryan Giggs after his goal gave them a 1-1 draw against Benfica in Lisbon to wrap up the English teams Champions League results.

Elsewhere in other Champions League Results there were wins for Basle, Real Madrid, Trabzonspor, Bayern Munich, Apoel Nicosia, Porto & Marseille.
