Premier League Results – Man Utd held at home

Another Saturday brought around another set of interesting Premier League results and we will begin our recap of the English Premier league Results at Old Trafford.

Newcastle came to Old Trafford to face Man Utd and the fans heading back to the North East will be the happier set of supporters. Javier Hernandez gave United the lead early in the 1st half after a deflected Rooney shot bounced off him into the net. The games most controversial moment came when Newcastle were awarded a penalty after Rio Ferdinand was adjudged to have fouled Ben Arfa in the box but early indications show this perhaps wasn’t the case. Demba Ba stepped up and slotted away the resulting kick to tie the score at 1-1.

United were unable to find a way bast Tim Krul in the Newcastle goal and a late Hernandez goal was disallowed when he appeared to be offside. The result for Man Utd sees them sitting 4 points back from rivals Man City in the Premier League table who play Liverpool tomorrow.
