NFL Scores 2011 Week 9
Our review of this weeks NFL scores begins in Foxboro where the New York Giants faced off against the New England Patriots at the Gillette Stadium which is our pick of the NFL Scores Week 9 action.
It was the first meeting between the teams who played out the 2008 Super Bowl and the ending of the match had many similarities to that faithful Superbowl in Arizona.
The first half was a bit of a damp squib with both teams going into the half tied at 0-0 but the second half was an explosion of offence. The Giants took the lead at the end of the 3rd quarter 10-3 thanks to a Brandon Jacobs rushing touchdown. The game went back and forth in the fourth quarter and the Patriots thought they had the game won when Brady hit Gronkowski with 1:36 remaining to give them the 20-17 lead.
Yet Eli Manning had other ideas as he led the Giants down the field for the touchdown when he hit Tight end Jake Ballard with 15 seconds to go which gave them the 24-20 win.
The NFL Scores brought an end to New Englands home winning streak for Tom Brady & the Patriots.
