NBA Scores Martin Luther King Day 2012
NBA Scores MLK day 2012 – 16/01/2012
Well the NBA scores for Monday the 17th of January 2012 were nothing short of spectacular as always, in fact Monday marked Martin Luther King day where one great man was remembered amongst a feast of Basketball action. MLK Day 2012 saw action from 11 NBA games giving us a great selection of Mondays NBA scores to bring you today.
In our first game we saw Orlando travel up to New York to meet the Knicks, and in a game where the Knicks really needed a win their fans will wonder if all that attention they paid to Dwight Howard cost them dearly. So much in fact it was Ryan Anderson who was the star of the show who closed out an impressive 102-93 to the Magic.
Our next game in this latest NBA Scores round up took place in Memphis where the Grizzlies looked to lay away the memories of their 104-64 drubbing they received from the Chicago Bulls on New Years day. As it turns out Martin Luther King Day turned out much better for the Grizzlies with Rudy gay scoring 24 points leading the way to beat the Bulls in a much more pleasing 102-86 victory.
NBA scores can often be quite huge so when we get a treat of both teams chalking up over 100 points each its definitely worth a watch. Although the match up between the Rockets and Wizards wasnt the days marque match up John Wall made the game interesting with 38 points on the board, the Wizards however added to their terrible record loosing again 114 points to 106.
NBA Scores don’t always create massive scorelines however and this was just the case in our next NBA Scores summary, the Dallas Mavs travelled to Los Angeles in what was a tightly fought affair. Derek Fisher was responsible for the victory for the Lakers hitting 3 points with 3 seconds to play, Vince Carter could have levelled but missed a buzzer beater which meant the Mavs lost 70 points to the Lakers 73.
For the LA Clippers their recent NBA scores and underlying success has relied upon Chris Paul so in his absence the Clippers needed leadership in another form, so no less than Chauncey Billups stepped up to round off a great victory 101 points to the Nets 91.
NBA Scores from the remaining games
Just 6 more games to cover in this epic NBA scores round up and our next game saw Kendrick Perkins have a slightly emotional return to Boston since his shock trade to Oklahoma. It was the Thunder who won this match up in a 97-88 scoreline which puts the Celtics on an unfamiliar 5 game losing streak.
The Toronto Raptors played the Atlanta Hawks in this next portion of our NBA scores summary, and even though Al Horford is still missing Josh Smith is leading the Hawks on an impressive turn of form. This form continued with the Hawks beating the Raptors 93-84.
One player who certainly is doing no harm to his teams NBA scores is Kevin Love of the Timberwolves and in this score summary Love scored 33 points, in the Timberwolves 99 point to 86 point victory.
Rounding out the remaining NBA scores the 76ers beat the Bucks by 12 points with a 94-82 point scoreline. The Cavs won against the Bobcats 102-94 whilst the Portland Blazers beat a lacklustre Hornets side 84 points to 77.
