The Clippers dominated the Wolves in the first 3 quarters but a 36 point 4th quarter from the Timberwolves was too much for the Clippers. The Wolves defeated the Clippers 109-97 thanks to huge performances from Derrick Williams & Michael Beasley off the bench. Both players scored 27 points off the bench to improve the Timberwolves to 18-17 for the season.

In more NBA Scores 2012 The Boston Celtics got a win against the Cleveland Cavaliers with an 86-83 scoreline. The Celtics will be hoping for a better second half of the season to cement their place in the Playoffs. Derrick Rose 32 points & 9 assists gave the Chicago Bulls a 99-95 victory over the New Orleans Hornets.

NBA Scores 2012 – Rookie Thomas lifts the Kings

In the latest NBA Scores 2012 the Sacramento Kings had rookie Isaiah Thomas to thank for their 103-96 victory over the Utah Jazz. 2012 NHL Scores – Monday 27th February

In more of the latest 2012 NHL Scores saw the Colorado Avalanche claim victory over the Anaheim Ducks at the Pepsi Center with a 4-1 victory for their 4th straight victory. The Avalanche claimed victory with a 3 goal 3rd quarter with goals from Ryan O’Reilly who broke the tie with goals from Matt Duchene & Jay McClement sealing the win.

In more 2012 NHL Scores saw the Nashville Predators claim their 4th victory in 5 games as they defeated the LA Kings on Home Ice at the Bridgestone Arena. The Predators led the match 2-0 heading into the 3rd quarter thanks to goals from Roman Josi & Patric Hornqvist. The Kings got a late consolation goal from Dustin Brown but this wouldn’t be enough.

The Edmonton Oilers picked up one of the more impressive 2012 NHL Scores from Monday as they scored 4 goals in the 4th quarter to defeat the Winnipeg Jets 5-3. In the Evenings final 2012 NHL Scores saw the St Louis Blues defeat the Calgary Flames despite trailing 1 nil after the 1st quarter.

2012 NBA All Star Game – Orlando Florida

2012 NBA All Star GameThe 2012 NBA All Star Game took place on Sunday evening in Orlando with the West All Stars taking on the East All Stars and as normal it was a game of High Offence.

2012 NBA All Star Game – Who was the MVP?

The Western Conference all stars claimed the bragging right by winning the 2012 NBA All Star game 152 -149 and Kevin Durant claimed the title of 2012 NBA All Star Game MVP. Durant was the leading scoring for the West scoring 36 points with 7 rebounds and 3 steals on his impressive box score.

The Western Conference All Stars never really looked like losing the 2012 NBA All Star game until the final seconds of the match in Orlando. The Western Conference led by as many as 21 points at one stage and the East trimmed the lead to 1 with seconds to go. However the West had done enough to hang onto the win.

The Western Conference team broke a NBA All Star Game record with its 88 points  scored in the first half, and their was an individual record broken by Kobe Bryant. Bryant scored a total of 27 points on the night which saw him pass Michael Jordan as the All Star games leading scorer.

However it wasn’t all fun for Bryant at the 2012 NBA All Star Game as he suffered a hard foul from Miami Heats Dwayne Wade which led to the LA Lakers star suffering a broken nose.

2012 NBA All Star Game – Howard disapointing

The Eastern Conference All Stars were led by the leader of the 2012 NBA All Star Game voting Dwight Howard who was largely disappoint in a 10 rebound 9 points performance. The star of the 2012 NBA All Star Game was Dwayne Wade who managed a triple double with 24 points, 10 Rebounds & 10 Assists.

The 2012 NBA All Star game brought to an end the 2012 NBA All Star weekend which as per normal brought many highlights but teams will now focus on the remainder of the 2012 NBA Season.

NBA All Star Weekend Orlando 2012

NBA All Star WeekendSaturday moved into the 2nd day of the NBA All Star Weekend in Orlando with 5 events crammed into the days NBA All Star festivities. Saturdays 2012 NBA All Star weekend action kicked off with the NBA D League All Star Game.

The D-League All Star game was a high scoring affair with the Western Conference taking a 135-132 thanks to Gerald Greens MVP performance with 28 points.

All Star Saturday Night – 2012 NBA All Star Weekend

Then the evening moved onto NBA All Star Saturday Night which began with the Haier Shooting Stars challenge which was won by the New York Knicks. The Knicks teams consisted of NBA Legend Allan Houston, Liberty’s Cappie Pondexter & current star Landry Fields and won the competition in a time of 37.3 seconds.

The NBA All Star Weekend 2012 then moved into the Taco Bell Skills Challenge which was won by San Antonio’s Tony Parker who defeated Rajon Rondon & Deron Williams in the final round. Parker scored a time of 32.8 seconds in the final round which was flawless apart from needing a second bounce pass.

The 3rd Event of Saturday nights NBA All Star weekend action saw the Foot Locker Three Point Contest take place. The final took place between the Timberwolves Kevin Love & the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kevin Durrant & it was Love who would pick up the Silverware despite having the lowest 3 point percentage of all the contestants.

2012 Sprite Slam Dunk – NBA All Star Weekend

The final and main highlight of Saturdays events on the NBA All Star Weekend was the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest which featured 4 players vying for the title. Each contested posted some amazing dunks including Chase Budinger’s dunk over P Diddy. The event was won by Utah Jazz’s Jeremy Evans who did 2 dunks in 1 attempt by doing 1 right handed and 1 left handed dunk.

2012 NBA All Star Weekend Orlando

2012 NBA All Star WeekendOn Friday night the the festivities of the 2012 NBA All Star Weekend begun at the Amway Centre in Orlando Florida. This years 2012 NBA All Star weekend is split over 3 days and last night saw the Sprint Celebrity Game take place and the marquee event of the night was the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge.

2012 NBA All Star Weekend – Sprint Celebrity Game

The curtain raiser for the NBA All Star Weekend 2012 was the Sprint Celebrity game which saw legends of the NBA & Celebrities take the court and this years contest was a lopsided affair.

The East celebrity side defeated the West in a crushing 86-54 scoreline thanks to a stellar performance from U.S Secretary of Education Arne Duncan who scored 17 points on the night. Duncan is no stranger to basketball as he played his College Hoops at Harvard between 1987-91.

BBVA Rising Stars Challenge – 2012 NBA All Star Weekend

Then the 2012 NBA All Star Weekend moved onto the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge which this year was a different format to previous years as the Rookies & 2nd Year players were mixed together on teams via a draft from their Coaches. Which saw Charles Barkley take over Team Chuck & Shaquille O’Neal had team Shaq.

The game was all about the offence with little or No D taking place which was shown in the scoreline as Team Chuck reigned victories with a score line of 146-133. We the game featuring little defensive action it allowed the players to show off their skills with Blake Griffin taking dunk of the night honours with his off the backboard Jam and maybe the best from the NBA All Star Weekend.

The Star man of the night was the Cleveland Cavaliers Rookie point guard Kyrie Irving who scored 34 points and was a perfect 8 for 8 from 3 point range. After a rough season last year after Lebron James’s departure the Cavs fans must be excited with their hot new prospect.
