Tuesdays big football news has been the huge fall out between midfielder Joey Barton and Newcastle United. The story was bubbling under the surface on Monday evening with Joey Barton making some cryptic messages on Twitter.

Barton was appearing to be disappointed with Newcastle’s recent transfer policy but Newcastle has taken an exception to his attitude and is allowing the midfielder to leave on a free transfer despite having a year left on his contract. Today he has was forced to train on his own and was fined 2 weeks wages which also brought a tweet from the star stating that the action was “Inevitable.

It is thought that interest in Joey Barton is high with multiple teams interested in Barton with Celtic & Tottenham leading the chase. Dependant on how you feel about Barton will affect how much you are bothered by this story. Barton’s frustration must be coming from the fact they have sold one of their best players in Nolan to a Championship club which shows no ambition from the chairman. Barton is a good midfielder and will “do a job” in most premier league midfields.

In other football news and transfer rumours Man City appear to be making their interest in Samir Nasri formal and are looking to table a bid for the French star. A bid of around £20million is the amount which would allow Man City to get their man. New Chelsea boss Andre Villas Boas has yet to secure his first signing but has decided that Yuri Zhirkov is surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge with an apparent move to a Russian club in the offing.

In NFL Free Agency the NFL’s active sack leader Jason Taylor went home back to the Miami Dolphins for the third time. This trip will be Taylors 3rd stint with the dolphins after he started his career after being picked in the third round. Taylor has spent season long spells at the Redskins & Jets but has came back after being released by the Jets earlier this year. Taylor will bring leadership and experience to the Miami locker room and will be welcomed back by the fans on South Beach.

After a crazy week the NFL Trade & signing rumours have begun to settle down after the majority of the big names had been signed and teams focus on their training camps. The wait for football does not last long with Preseason games starting on August 11th.
