Welcome back to another sporting update on the latest sports news, we will start our sports news update by looking at some of footballs transfer rumours.

The biggest football rumours are revolving around the blue side of Manchester where the saga relating to their captain Carlos Tevez. We reported last week that Corinthians had made a bid for the striker but was deemed unacceptable. It has appeared that Corinthians have now had a bid accepted, but it has now hit a stumbling block. Man City have has asked that he cannot be sold to another team in Europe for the next 2 years and also they want assurances from the Brazillian club.

Man City are believed to aim for the signing of Sergio Aguero when the deal goes through to replace the Argentinian, however a deal would take time to complete and could cost in the region of £45million.

In a long running Arsenal transfer rumour Barcelona are now believed to have came in with their 3rd bid this summer for Fabregas. This bid is apparently now going to be enough for the Arsenal Captain Cesc Fabregas to make his move to La Liga. Arsenal however will struggle to find a replacement for the young Spaniard and could a big blow in their chances to win any trophies this season.

Taking a look at some American Sports news and baseball news in particular a pitching Error decided a tightly contested game between the the Yankees & the Tampa Bay Rays. With the Bases loaded Rookie Pitcher Alex Torres threw a ball with the count at 3-2 which allowed Curtis Granderson to touch home plate as Russell Martin walked to 1st. With the win the Yankees still sit 2nd in the AL East 1 1/2 games of the Boston Red Sox
