Lets start with the test match in Cardiff where a weather delayed series looked likely to end to a boring draw. How wrong could we be despite the game beginning at 3pm in the afternoon England batted for two overs and declared as soon as Ian Bell reached his century and the figured they declared on was 496-5 which only put them 96 runs ahead. This brought the tourists out to bat and Chris Tremlett (4-40) took two early wickets before he and Graeme Swann (4-16) took control and dismantled the Sri Lankan batting order and Stuart Broad (2-21) finished the tourists off for 82 all out. An amazing result for the England team and a result only few people could have predicted and a big step towards there summer goal of being the Number 1 test team.
