College Football Scores – Weekend of Upsets

After a huge College football upset on Friday with number 2 ranked Oklahoma State falling to Iowa State there were more Upsets to be had in Saturdays College football scores.

With the number 2 team in the College Football rankings losing, it was down to the chasing pack to post some impressive College football scores to help improve their BCS rankings. However that was easier said than done as 2 more of the nations top 5 would lose this weekend.

Number 4 ranked Oregon were coming off defeating Stanford were facing off against PAC 12 rivals USC. USC would leave Oregon with the scalp of defeating the number 4 ranked team in the country in their own backyard. The Trojans built up an early lead with Oregon tried valiantly to peg back but a field goal miss from Oregon kicker Alejandro Maldondado gave USC the 38 -35 win. The loss for Oregon has effectively ended there hopes for a second straight National Championship spot.

In another upset from College Football Scores Week 12 fell to number 5 ranked Oklahoma who lost to 22nd Ranked Baylor 45-38 which ended any hopes of Oklahoma playing in the National title game. Oklahoma had tied the game with 51 second remaining after a Blake Bell run made the scores tied at 38-38.

Yet that wasn’t the last scoring drive of the game as Robert Griffin III threw a 34 yard pass to Terrance Williams with 8 seconds remaining with the big upset win.

2011 College Football Scores – Alabama number 2?

With the other 2 teams in the chasing pack losing Alabama took advantage by winning their match with Georgia South with the 45-21 victory which should see them boosted to number 2 in the BCS Rankings.

One team who are almost assured of their status in the National Championship is LSU who picked up a dominant 52-3 win over Ole Miss to keep their season of undefeated college Football scores alive.

In more NCAA College football scores Penn State got their first win since the scandal with a 20-14 win over Ohio State & Boise State got back to winning ways with a win over San Diego State thanks to Kellen Moore’s 4 touchdown passes.

On other College football scores upsets Clemson who are ranked 7th in the country lost to NC State in a an ugly 37-13 loss and Virginia defeated Florida State 14-13.

This weekend threw out some wild and wacky College football scores which could have potentially sent the BCS computers in a state of Meltdown, but Alabama now appear to be a rightful candidate for the number 2 spot.
