College Football Preview

Entering into week 6 of the College Football season we have our college football preview of the matches which will be dominating our television screens this weekend.

Beginning our Top 25 College football preview is the number 1 team in the country LSU taking on SEC rivals Florida in Baton Rouge. LSU go into the match undefeated after their dominant 35-7 win over Kentucky last weekend go into the match full of confidence. LSU also have the added bonus of having starting Quarterback Jordan Jefferson back for his second week following his suspension.

On the other side Florida who lost last weekend to Alabama will be without their starting QB John Brantley who was injured late in the game. Florida will start freshman Jeff Driskel as QB. LSU are clear favourites to continue their undefeated start and there number 1 standing in the college rankings.

Continuing our College football preview with Number 2 ranked Alabama who take on Vanderbilt in Tuscaloosa. Alabama will look to defend there 5-0 start against the 3-1 Vanderbilt. History is not on Vanderbilt’s side as they have lost 20 straight games to the Crimson Tide and expect that run to continue on Saturday.

Our 2011 College football preview moves on to perhaps the toughest contest for a top 5 team when number 3 Oklahoma take on number 11 Texas at the Cotton Bowl in Texas. The Big 12 rivalry known as the Red River Rivalry sees both teams with an undefeated record for the second time in 7 years. Oklahoma who have slipped from their preseason number 1 ranking will be looking to add a big win to their resume as they hunt for a National Championship.

Texas on the over hand who have climbed up the rankings with their impressive start will also be looking to gain a big win over their conference rivals.
