However Kevin Durrant had other ideas when he sank a game winning 3 pointer at the buzzer to give the Thunder a perfect 3-0 start to their season. Durant was the star man for the Thunder getting a double double with 30 points & 11 rebounds, with their perfect start to the season the Oklahoma City Thunder are a force to be reckoned with.

In the latest NBA Scores the Bulls look scarily good and this was again proven in there 108-98 win over the Sacremento Kings, despite losing reigning MVP Derrick Rose to foul trouble in the half. In more NBA scores 2011 the LA Lakers took on the New York Knicks at the Staples Centre with both teams looking to get their second win of the season. The Lakers would use their home court advantage and get the 99-82 win over the Knicks thanks to Kobe Bryant’s 28 points to get them back to 2-2 for the season.
The Magic’s NBA Scores of 94-78 over the Nets showed the New Jersey Nets exactly what they were missing out on when they failed to trade for Dwight Howard this Off Season. The Magic’s All star Centre scored 16 points and was dominate on the glass grabbing 24 rebounds in their 2nd win of the season.
In the nights other NBA Scores Portland defeated Denver 111-102 & The Houston Rockets defeated the San Antonio 105-85.

English Premier League Results – Saturday 5th November
This Saturdays English Premier League action was full of the typical intrigue and excitement which football fans have come to expect from the Premier League. We will kick off our English Premier League results recap with the lunchtime Kick Off at St James Park.
Newcastle knew a win over Everton would put them up to 2nd in the English Premier League table and that is exactly what Newcastle did. The game was decided in the first half thanks to a Johnny Heitinga own goal and a fantastic 25 yard strike from Ryan Taylor. Jack Rodwell scored a header in first half stoppage time to give the Toffees hope at the half time break.
Newcastle would do enough to see out the second half and survived a second half penalty shout when Dan Gosling appear to handle in the box. The win put them to second in the table before Man Utd Kicked off at 3.
Man Utd were playing Sunderland at Old Trafford where they were celebrating Alex Ferguson’s 25th Anniversary of being in charge of Man Utd. The performance from United was a cagey one but United got the victory thanks to a Wes Brown own goal in first half stoppage time.
United moved to within 2 points of English Premier League leaders Man City who Play QPR at Loftus Road later on this evening.
English Premier League – Arsenals good form continues
In more English Premier league Results Arsenal continued their good run of form with a 3 nil win over West Brom at the Emirates. Van Persie & Vermaelan gave Arsenal the 2 nil lead at half time & summer signing Mikel Arteta completed the scoreline in the 74th minute. The win took Arsenal up to 7th in the English Premier League standings.
Swansea got the shock result of the Barclays English Premier League this weekend when they held Liverpool to a goalless draw at Anfield. Both teams had multiple chances to get the 3 points and Swansea will be thankful to goalie Michel Vorm who made a string of vital saves.
In the 2 other English Premier League matches Chelsea secured a scrappy win against Blackburn with a 1 nil win courtesy of a Frank Lampard strike & Villa came from behind to defeat Norwich 3-2 at Villa Park.

Carling Cup Results – Wednesday 26th October
The second set of Carling Cup Results were played out this evening with the pick of the games taking place at the Molineux where struggling Wolves took on high flying Man City.
Wolves took the shock lead in the Carling Cup tie through the Serb Nenad Milijas on 18 minutes who smashed home his finish. Wolves lead lasted until the 37th minute when Adam Johnson scored from the edge of the box.
The game was only tied for a matter of minutes as Samir Nasri scored to make it 2-1 and a minute later Dzeko slotted home to put the scoreline at 3-1 at half time.
Man City added a further 2 goals in the second half through a De Vries own goal & Dzeko’s second of the game. Jamie O’Hara scored a consolation for Wolves in the 65th minute and that would be the last of the games goal to finish the tie at 5-2 to City to give one the most lopsided Carling Cup Results of the weekend.
After tonights performance Man City look to be a shoe in for this seasons Carling Cup Final and will certainly be hard to beat in this seasons competition.
In another of tonights Carling Cup results saw Stoke take on Liverpool at the Britannia stadium. Stoke took the lead on the 44th minute when Trinidad & Tobago international Kenwyne Jones headed in a Jon Walters cross. Stoke held the until a moment of magic from Luis Suarez levelled the game in the 54th minute.
With time running out and extra time looking likely Luis Suarez headed home a Jordan Henderson cross to give Liverpool the victory and a place in the Carling Cup draw for the next round.
Carling Cup Results – Extra time excitement
The 2 other Carling Cup results couldn’t be decided in the regulation 90 minutes and required extra time to decide the final Carling Cup results.
An unbelievable finish to the game between Newcastle & Blackburn at Ewood Park as Newcastle scored 2 goals in injury time to take the game to extra time. Blackburn thought they has the tie sewn up when going into the 90th minute 2 goals up thanks to goals from Rochina & Yakubu. But a Danny Guthrie 25 yard strike and a Yohane Cabaye free kick levelled the game forcing extra time.
Extra time continued at the same pace the 2nd half concluded as Blackburn retook the lead after a Morten Gamst Pedersen free kick hit the back of the net. The lead however was short-lived as Newcastle won a penalty after a pull in the area and Peter Lovenkrands levelled the Carling Cup scores.
Gael Givet was the hero of the night for Blackburn as he scored in the final minute of the game with a Carling Cup Results which will please the Blackburn fans and Owners,
In the final match of tonights Carling Cup Results between Everton & Chelsea was far less exciting Chelsea took the lead in the 38th minute through Kalou. Chelsea held the lead until the 83rd minute when Saha levelled the game.
With a penalty shootout looming Daniel Sturridge broke Everton hearts when he slotted home a rebound to put Chelsea into the Carling cup quarter finals and win the game 2-1.

English Premier League 2011 Round Up – Week 2 EPL Review
The English Premier Leagues second weekend was another cracker but for the performance of the week we had to wait until Monday evening when Man Utd took on Tottenham. The first half at Old Trafford went by without much of an incident Spurs tried to test Manchester United’s young Keeper DeGea but he was up for the challenge and performed well with crosses and long shots.
The second half however was a different and a team talk of the hair dryer variety from Sir Alex Ferguson kicked Man Utd’s star into gear. From the start of the second half Man Utd pressed and harassed Tottenham into mistakes. United’s breakthrough came in the 61st minute when two young England stars Tom Cleverley & Danny Welbeck combined for United’s first goal. United would not have to wait long before doubling their advantage when a wonderful flowing United move ended with Danny Welbeck back healing the ball into the path of Anderson who slotted the ball into the back of the net. The third and final United goal came when two of the older United stars combined Giggs clipped the ball in to the box and Rooney headed home. Read more…
Sports News Update – Europa League Qualifiers and England Cricket
England & India begun the 4th Test at the Kia Oval on Thursday despite England having already wrapped up the series there was still a lot to play for. India were playing for pride and England were looking for a series whitewash however Day 1 became a washout rather than the beginnings of a series Whitewash. England did start the day well reaching 75-0 but when the play stopped for lunch they would not return. Andrew Strauss ended the day on 38 and Alastair Cook on 34 who will both be hoping for a dry 2nd day where they can post an imposing total to win the series 4-0 and show the world they really are the number 1 test team.
