All the talk before the 2012 NFL Super Bowl was revenge for the Patriots over a Giants team that ruined there perfect season back in 2008. However for the Patriots there wait to claim revenge over the NY Giants will have to wait as it was the Giants who reigned supreme as the 2012 NFL Super Bowl Champions.
The 2012 Super Bowl’s first score was an unconventional one as Tom Brady drew an intentional grounding in the end zone giving the Giants a 2-0 lead. The first quarter also saw the New York Giants score a touchdown when Eli Manning hit Victor Cruz for 9-0 first quarter lead.
However the 2nd quarter belonged to the New England Patriots who scored on a 29 Stephen Gostkowski 29 yard field goal and a Tom Brady touchdown pass to Danny Woodhead for the 10-9 half time 2012 NFL Super Bowl lead.
At half time the football action stopped and the 2012 NFL Super Bowl half time show took centre stage with headline act Madonna joined on stage by LMFAO, Nikki Minaj & Cee Lo Green. After the nearing on half hour break the action on the field restarted.
The New England Patriots extended their lead when Aaron Hernandez caught a 12 yard touchdown pass to give them an 8 point lead at 17-9. Before the third quarter drew to a close two Lawrence Tynes field goals brought the score to 15-17 as the 2012 NFL Super Bowl entered the 4th quarter.

The time left on the clock proved to be too little for Brady to work with and left the New York Giants as the 2012 NFL Super Bowl Champs with a scoreline of 21-17.
The victory for Eli Manning is his 2nd Superbowl win & his second Super Bowl MVP award whilst giving the Giants franchise 4th Super Bowl win which leaves them tied in 3rd spot with the Green Bay Packers.

2012 NFL Pro Bowl – AFC take the Crown
Last night saw the 2012 NFL Pro Bowl take place at the Aloha Stadium in Honolulu Hawaii which is where the best of the NFL as voted for by the fans take on each fans in the NFL All star game. The NFL Pro Bowl is predominantly all about the offences rather than defence and is usually shown with some big NFL Pro Bowl scores.
The 2012 NFL Pro Bowl scores was no exception as the combined points total of 100 was the second most in NFL Pro Bowl history & the 59 points scored by the AFC broke a NFL Pro Bowl record.
The game itself was played out in front of a sell out crowd at the Aloha Stadium of 48’423 who saw the AFC All stars defeat the NFC All stars 59-41. The 2012 NFL Pro Bowl MVP came from the winning team and was Brandon Marshall of the Miami Dolphins.

However most players see the game as a battle for pride between the AFC & NFC to say they are the superior conference with the best players.

Other first timers are Chargers running back Ryan Matthews & rookie wide receiver A.J Green of the Bengals.

This weekend saw the 2 teams who are heading to the 2012 NFL Super Bowl decided with 2 tense 2012 NFL Playoff scores and exciting match ups in the 2012 AFC Championship & 2012 NFC Championship. The 2012 NFL Divisional Championship Weekend had 2 great match ups and we begin our 2012 NFL Playoff Scores roundup with the AFC Championship game.
The 2012 AFC Championship saw the Baltimore Ravens take on the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium. The game as expected was a tight match up and the game wasn’t decided until the final 11 seconds. The Ravens trailed by 3 points and the offense had moved the ball to set up a 32 yard field goal to send the game into overtime. However the Billy Cundiff shanked his kick off to the left to send the Patriots to the 2012 NFL Super Bowl with the 2012 NFL Playoff scores of 23-20.
The winning drive came in the 4th quarter when Tom Brady ran for a 1 yard score and was the only time Brady troubled the scorers as he did not throw for a touchdown in the game. The win for the Patriots send them to the 7th Super Bowl in the Franchise History.
