Well for all you underdog lovers out there I can happily report that it was APOEL who performed the best and won penalties 4-3, meaning their Champions League 2012 fairytale will continue.

As for the remaining game in this Champions League 2012 score report we saw Barcelona wrap up the formalities against Bayer Leverkusen at the Nou Camp. Just one man stole the show by scoring a stunning 5 goals Lionel Messi. Messi was in stunning form making a great contribution across the park, his 5 goals making him become the first ever player to score 5 goals in one Champions League game ever. Tello also made the scoresheet for Barcelona with 2 goals and Bellarabi grabbed a last minute consolation for Leverkusen. The final Champions League 2012 Score last night was 7-1 yet Barcelona won 10-2 on aggregate over the 2 games.

Tuesday night saw 2 more Champions League results get put into the books and the first 2 teams book there names into the Champions League quarter final. We begin our look at Tuesdays Champions League results at the Emirates where Arsenal took on AC Milan in their second leg match.
Could Arsenal make the dramatic comeback? – Champions League Results
AC Milan were the favourites after dominating the 1st leg at the San Siro and winning the first leg 4 nil. Arsene Wenger had claimed that if Arsenal could overturn the 4 nil deficit it would be one of his finest achievements as Arsenal Manager.
However Arsenal could not pull of one of the most impressive Champions League results of the season but they did come awfully close. Arsenal scored 3 goals in the first half with Laurent Koscielny opening the scoring on the 7th minute. Then Tomas Rosicky scored in the 26th minute and Robin Van Persie scored from the spot just before half time and left AC Milan reeling.
There would be no further drama in the second half however as Arsenal couldn’t break down Milan’s resistance where the best chance fell to Van Persie but this chance was squandered.
So despite a losing 2012 Champions League results from Tuesday it will be Milan moving into the next round of the Champions League.
Champions League Results – Benfica into the Quarter Finals
In Tuesdays other Champions League results saw Benfica take on Zenit St Petersburg in Portugal. Zenit carried a 3-2 lead from the first leg but 2 goals at the end of each half gave Benfica the win.
Maxi Pereira’s scored in stoppage time of the first half and Nelson Oliveira’s goal in the 93rd minute made sure of Benfica’s passage into the Quarter finals.
