2012 NBA Playoffs Scores – Thursday 17th May
The 2012 NBA Playoffs continue to roll on and with each game helping to decide a teams playoff destiny everything is to play for. Thursday nights action saw a Game 3 from the East & a Game 2 from the West.
Pacers take 2-1 series lead over Miami – 2012 NBA Playoffs
Heading into Game 3 of their 2012 NBA Playoff match up the series were tied at 1-1 apiece with the series heading to Indiana. The Miami Heat are the 2 seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs and the highest seed remaining but on Thursday night they were manhandled by the Indiana Pacers.
The Pacers took home advantage and defeated the Heat 94 – 75 which was mainly down to a massive night from Center Roy Hibbert. Hibbert scored 19 points and was a beast on the boards claiming an impressive 18 rebounds, George Hill backed up Hibbert with 20 points.
For the Heat playing without Chris Bosh they struggled with 2 of their starters failing to trouble the scores whilst Dwayne Wade only managed to score 5 points. Wade’s frustrations were clear as he and coach had a very animated conversation in the third quarter.
Game 4 takes place on Saturday in Indiana and another performance like this from the Pacers will put them in the driving seat to get to the Eastern Conference Finals.
2012 NBA Playoffs – Spurs dominate Clippers for 2-0 lead
In Game 2 from the Western Conference Playoffs between the San Antonio Spurs & the LA Clippers saw the top seed Spurs show their dominance. The Spurs took a 2-0 series lead with a 105-88 victory.
Tony Parker led the Spurs to the impressive victory with 22 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists & 3 steals as the Spurs stamp their authority in the series. The only highlight for the Clippers was the performance of Blake Griffin with 20 points but he will need some support if the Clippers are to make this a more even series.
Game 3 moves to LA on Saturday & the Crowd at the Staples centre will be hoping for a big performance or they will face an exit from the 2012 NBA Playoffs.
NBA Playoffs 2012 Monday 14th May
The NBA Playoffs 2012 have now moved into the Semi Final stages and Mondays action saw a Game 2 from the East & a Game 1 from the West. The 2012 NBA Playoffs have so far been intriguing & exciting & Monday nights games were no exception.

Series tied between C’s & Sixers – NBA Playoffs 2012
After a tight affair in game 1 with the Celtics winning by a slender 1 point Mondays game finished with exactly the same winning margin. However on Monday it was the 76ers who walked away victorious with a 82-81 victory. Evan Turner scored the go ahead layup to give the 76ers a 76-75 lead which they never lost & Philadelphia went 6 for 6 from the free throw line to secure the victory.
Jrue Holiday top scored for the 76ers with 18 points with Andre Iguodala scoring 13 points in the victory. For the Celtics Ray Allen top scored with 17 points from off the bench with Kevin Garnett chipping in with 15 points.
After the opening 2 games of their Playoff series the series is tied at 1-1 as the tournament heads to Philadelphia for games 3 & 4.
Blowout win for OKC – NBA Playoffs 2012
Game 1 in the West between the Oklahoma City Thunder & The LA Lakers was no where near as close as the match up in the East with the Oklahoma City Thunder securing a huge win. The Thunder secured their 119-90 victory thanks to big games from their 2 stars Russell Westbrook & Kevin Durant. Westbrook scored 27 points & 9 assists whilst Durrant scored 25 & grabbed 8 rebounds.
The match up clearly showed the freshness in the Thunder who swept their opponents in the first round compared to the Lakers who had played 7 games in a bruising series with the Nuggets. If game 1 was anything to go by expect a comfortable series for the Thunder who appear to be coasting to the Western Conference finals of the NBA Playoffs 2012.
NBA Playoffs 2012 Scores Sunday 13th May

Sundays NBA Playoff action saw a Western Conference match up reach its conclusion in a game 7 match up whilst the 2nd of the Eastern Conference Semi Finals had just begun. So lets get you caught up on the NBA Playoffs 2012 scores.

NBA Playoffs 2012 – Clippers advance with Game 7 victory
Game 7 of the Clippers & Grizzlies match up headed back to Memphis for what was a fitting finale to a very close series between the 2 teams. With the Clippers having already blew 2 opportunities to close out the series and Grizzlies back with home court advantage, the Grizzlies were favourites to win.
However the game did not play out like that as the Clippers won their 3rd playoff series in 41 years with the 82-72 victory after they pulled away in the 4th quarter thanks to Kenyon Martins 7 point 4th quarter. Chris Paul was the star of the show for a wounded LA Clippers scoring 19 points, 9 boards & 4 assists. The Clippers will now move on to face the San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference Semi Finals of the 2012 NBA Playoffs.
Heat take the 1-0 series lead over the Pacers – 2012 NBA Playoffs 2012
The Miami Heat are now the top seed in the East after the Chicago Bulls early exit at the hands of Philadelphia and they kicked off their Semi Final series against Indiana on Sunday. Both the Pacers & Heat had made light work of their 1st round opponents and both teams appeared fresh going into the game.
The Heat however suffered a blow as 1 part of the Big Three Chris Bosh would leave the game late in the 1st half with an abdominal injury, but this didn’t faze the Championship hungry Heat.
Lebron James scored 32 with 15 rebounds as Wade scored 29 to lift the Heat past the Pacers for the 95-86 win & the 1-0 series lead. The Heat will be hoping for another sweep as they aim for the Eastern Conference Finals and beyond in the NBA Playoffs 2012.
NBA Playoffs Saturday 12th May 2012
Saturdays NBA Playoffs scores saw a playoff series draw to a conclusion in the Western conference whilst there was a Playoff series beginning in the East. So we begin our look at yesterdays 2012 NBA Playoff matchups with the concluding game in the Lakers & Nuggets series.
Lakers seal 4-3 series win – NBA Playoffs
With the series tied at 3-3 and the series headed back to LA the Lakers were in pole position and the Lakers did not disappoint their home fans at the Staples Centre. The Lakers managed to outlast the Denver Nuggets in game 7 of their playoff match up thanks to a big performance by their centre Pau Gasol. Gasol recorded a superb double double featuring 23 points & 17 rebounds as they won with a scoreline of 96-87 to end Denver’s season.
Gasol was backed up by a returning Metta World Peace who returned after his 7 game suspension with 15 points. Kobe Bryant scored 17 points with 8 assists and point guard Steve Blake scored a Playoff high with 19 points.
With the win the Lakers move into the Western Conference Semi Finals where they will face the Oklahoma City Thunder who are fresh off their sweep of the Dallas Mavericks.
Boston take 1-0 series Lead – NBA Playoffs
In Saturdays other NBA Playoffs 2012 match up saw Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semi Final series begin between the Boston Celtics & Philadelphia 76ers.
The 76ers who are fresh off their huge upset of the Chicago Bulls almost got another scalp in their impressive playoff run as they held a 13 point second half but a late rally for the Celtics saw Boston take the 92-91 victory. Rajon Rondo scored yet another triple double with 13 points, 17 assists & 12 rebounds, with Kevin Garnett scoring a season high 29 points in a memorable Celtics Playoff victory.

2012 NBA Playoffs Game 5 Tuesday
The 2012 NBA Playoffs
first round are coming to an end with the Oklahoma City Thunder & San Antonio Spurs already booking their place in the next round with 4-0 series sweeps over their opponents. On Tuesday in 3 of the 4 games their were teams facing elimination but their was only 1 team eliminated from the NBA Playoffs on Tuesday.
2012 NBA Playoffs – Magic Eliminated, Pacers Advance
That unlucky honour fell to Orlando Magic who despite winning the first game of their Playoff Series lost 4 straight to the Pacers & were eliminated for the 2nd year in a row in the first round.
The Magic fell behind early and never recovered to lose 87-105 for the Pacers it was their first series win since 2005 and will face either Miami or New York in the next round of the 2012 NBA Playoffs.
Chicago avoid elimination – 2012 NBA Playoffs
The top seeds in the East the Chicago Bulls avoided elimination with an ugly 77-69 victory over the 76ers at the United Center in Chicago. A big night from Luol Deng who scored 24 points and grabbed 8 rebounds and he was supported by Carlos Boozer who scored 19 points and 13 boards.
Philadelphia still lead the best of 7 series 3-2 and head back to Philly for Game 6, so the 76ers still hold the advantage heading into Thursday’s game.
The Atlanta Hawks also kept their season alive with a 87-86 victory over the Boston Celtics to move to close the series gap to 3-2. The Hawks were grateful to have Al Horford back as his double double of 19 points & 11 rebounds help the Hawks avoid elimination. Horford scored the Hawks final 2 baskets & came up big on the defensive end in the final moments of their 2012 NBA Playoffs Game 5.
In the evenings final game the Denver Nuggets survived a late comeback to win their Game 5 match up. The Nuggets won 102-99 and made threes at 3-2 with Game 6 in Denver.
The star of the show for the LA Lakers was Kobe Bryant who scored 43 points in Game 5 with 6 rebounds, 5 assists & 2 steals to keep this 2012 NBA Playoffs series alive.
