2012 NFL Championship weekendThis Weekend sees the 2012 NFL Playoffs move into the 2012 NFL Championship Weekend  where there will be 4 teams battling it out to get to the 2012 Superbowl. The AFC Championship & NFC Championship games take place over the 2012 NFL Championship weekend.

The 2012 NFL Championship weekend kicks off with the 2012 AFC Championship where the Baltimore Ravens travel to face the New England Patriots. The game is a high powered offence in the Patriots facing off against the always stingy Baltimore Defence.

The Patriots come into the 2012 NFL Championship weekend off the back of dismantling the Denver Broncos 45-10 with Tom Brady breaking NFL records in the process. Baltimore on the other hand stuttered into the AFC Championship game after a unconvincing 20-13 victory over the Houston Texans.

If Tom Brady can connect with his top receivers Wes Welker, Rob Gronkowski & Aaron Hernandez the Baltimore D will have a tough time trying to contain them.

2012 NFL Championship Weekend – NFC Championship

As soon as the AFC championship concludes the 2012 NFL Championship weekend moves to San Francisco for the 2012 NFC Championship game. The 49ers will face off against the New York Giants in a rematch of a regular season matchup which San Francisco defeated the Giants by 7.

The 49ers are the favourite heading into the game after they defeated the the New Orleans Saints in a highly charged offensive matchup with a 36-32 scoreline. The Giants pulled off the upset of the 2012 NFL Playoffs so far when they defeated the reigning Super Bowl Champions the Green Bay Packers 37-20 at Lambeau Field.

The Giants will be hoping Eli Manning has recovered from his stomach bug to be back at full fitness for the match up as he will be key if the Giants are to make the 2012 NFL Superbowl.
